Real Mexican-Themed Colourful Wedding

Add a huge shot of colour to your wedding day with a Mexican theme. It's got to be one of the easiest wedding themes ever, and if you're happy to do a bit of DIY, it doesn't need to be expensive. I've fallen in love with Day and Max's gorgeous rehearsal dinner, designed by the hugely talented Lisa Vorce. Just check out the striking combo of yellow table cloths and red napkins, plus ribbons of every shade. A Colourful Bali Destination Wedding

Okay, I need to come clean straight away. Despite my heading, this isn't actually a real wedding. It's a rehearsal dinner held by the bride and groom to welcome their guests to Bali, but it's so gorgeous, I couldn't resist publishing. Sherry and Ben hosted their dinner on a private beach a mile from their wedding resort, and if you've ever thought of having a destination wedding, this one is enough to make you book your ticket pronto. Event designer, Lisa Vorce, created this effect with local products sourced from local markets, which is why I love shopping in Bali - it's so colourful and so cheap! When Sherry and Ben arrived they were greeted by traditional Balinese flower girls, and they even hired a traditional rain stopper {the serious-looking chap in the last picture} to scare away the showers. More favourite stealworthy ideas? The tropical fruit, woven palms, comfortable cushions for lounging, colourful petals and bamboo flags. Glamorous Ombre Wedding Dresses

Ombre is a huge wedding trend right now, with every wedding detail, from stationery to flowers featuring a graduated tint. Even long hair is getting the ombre treatment. But this is the first time I've seen an ombre wedding dress. Ideal for brides looking to stand out from the crowd, these wedding gowns by Ouma are guaranteed to wow your guests. The stunning skirt features layer upon layer of hand-dyed tulle to create a full and unique silhouette, gradually fading up from a vibrant pink, to coral, to peach and finally topped with a beautiful silk white. DIY Wedding Ribbon Ideas

On a recent trip to Newcastle to visit my Dad, he took me to possibly the best shop in the world. It's called RE and it's a wonderful world of wedding inspiration. I'll be featuring many of their gorgeous products over the next few weeks, but let's start with these heavenly ribbons. Add them to your wedding invitations, favours, vases and wrap them round your wedding bouquets and buttonholes. They're a fantastic way to brand your big day. Don't worry if you can't get to the north-east, they deliver.

Real Colourful Vineyard Wedding: Blake & Ashley

Bold bright colours are much harder to style, but create such memorable weddings, that if you've got the guts then you should go for it. Californian couple Blake and Ashley picked fuschia pink and lemon yellow for their colour scheme, and in the hot bright west-coast light, it all came together beautifully. Their vineyard venue was naturally gorgeous, so they kept their florals to a minimum, with bundles of tulips and a scattering of petals up the aisle. Table displays were cleverly filled with sliced oranges, a fantastic idea to steal for your own big day. I'm also loving how the place markers were wedged into a corks, and the tables named after grapes, all great ways to continue the vineyard theme. Don't miss Ashley's amazing pink shoes - she even spelt out 'I Do' in blue sequins on the soles, as a super-cool 'something blue'.
